The City of Coral Springs is proposing to submit a grant proposal for a Coral Hills Drive Sidewalk Improvement Project. The grant is to receive Federal Highway Administration grant funds through the Broward Metropolitan Planning Organization. If selected, the Florida Department of Transportation would design and build the sidewalk project on behalf of the city in Fiscal Year 2026.
The proposal would be to:
- Remove the existing asphalt pathway on the east side of the corridor and replace it with a concrete sidewalk.
- On the west side of Coral Hills Drive, the city proposal is to remove asphalt pathways on the south end between Sample Road and NW 36 Place and on the north end between Wiles Road and NW 101st Drive and then to construct a 5-foot concrete sidewalk along the entire west side of the corridor.
- When the project is completed both sides of Coral Hills Drive would have sidewalks.
- The new sidewalks will be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
It is important to receive feedback from area homeowners about their support for the project. Take the poll
